Doctors, doctors, and more doctors

Jan 26, 2009

Okay, so I am finally writing my first post and I'm very excited.  I am almost done with all these darn appointments, I think, well I hope.  Let's see, I went for my psych. evaluation, went to the pulmonary dr., and went to the cardiologist.  Now all I have left is to go for some bloodwork and complete a stress test that the cardiologist ordered.  Then, of course, let's not forget the 3 consecutive meetings with a nutrionist counselor over at Bayshore Hospital.  I was almost halfway done with those, or so I thought I'd be, but when I got to my first appt. last Friday, I found out that I needed another referral from my primary dr., which I did not have and of course, wouldn't you know, when I called to see if they could quickly do it and fax it over, the Aetna website was down and therefore, no referral, which meant no visit.  Then, when I called to reschedule, their next appt. wasn't until March 14th!!!  Which would mean another 2 months away!!!  I seriously almost lost it on the appointment lady!!  Luckily I asked if I could leave a message w/ the counselor who I was suppsed to see and she felt so bad about what happened that she got me in for this coming Thursday!!!!  Many thanks to her for keeping my dream alive and on schedule!!!!

So my first meeting w/ the nutrionist is this Thursday, and then I have my second one already schedule for the end of February.  I also had to schedule the 3rd meeting, which is at the end of March, but the counselor informed me that she thinks the last meeting isn't done till after the surgery.  But I'm not holding her to it until I speak with my insurance company.
