I am now up to 6 cc in my new 10-cc band - still not restricted much, but am trying my best to be a good girl .  I have a circumferential abdominoplasty scheduled for November 19, and I am excited and scared to death at the same time.  I'm hoping to lose anywhere from 10 to 20 pounds between now and then so I have a better result - although anything will be an improvement!  It will be just an overnight stay at the hospital.  Will try to post a little more often but I'm starting school and working full time, and the kids are starting school...busy, busy!

I got re-banded this past Wednesday (May 23) and came home yesterday.  I am very, very sore but everything went very well.  I previously had a 4-cc band, and I now have a 10-cc band.  I go for followup on June 4, but I've already lost 5 pounds!  It's good to be back.

Ask me how much I completely FREAKED out when my husband came home and told me our health insurance would be different effective June 1st (my surgery was scheduled that day)...After a few minutes of panic, I called Dr. Clark's office and they reassured me that he would fit me in before June 1st so that I wouldn't have to hassle with the new insurance company.  SOOO...my new surgery date is May 23 - a week from yesterday!  I really can't wait to be banded again. 

What a journey...  I was originally banded on 8/10/05 and went from 320 pounds to 175 pounds.  In March 2007, I had to have emergency gallbladder surgery (cholecystectomy) and because I had gotten so sick so many times, the band slipped, and that had to be removed.  Because of the hospital I was in, my surgeon could not re-band me at that time.  After appealing to my insurance company (and gaining a very unwanted 15-20 pounds back...)I am getting re-banded on June 1, 2007.  I really thought I could lose the final 30-40 pounds without the band, but as I told my sister in this journey, Jodi, the demons (bulimia/compulsive eating) and poor habits came back so easily.  Couldn't you just strangle anyone who says, "All you need is a little willpower and you'll make it." ?  

Very much looking forward to my surgery and recommitment to myself and a better lifestyle.  Will try to blog more regularly!
