My surgery of May 9 was denied by CIGNA. I yesterday the phone message from my 2nd level appeal and they stated they HAVE approved my surgery. CIGNA IS TERRIBLE. Expect to be denied. Their ruling to get certified is you must have had 2 medically supervised diets with monthly weigh in's one of which is within the past year. I was shocked when they approved. If anyone has CIGNA and has questions please email me. there are lots of things I can share.
