Amy M.
I am 26 years old and I have struggled with my weight my ever since my teen years. I have tried every diet program you can think of and while some were successful, the weight inevitably always came back on. It's to the point now where every activity is a chore and there are days when I don't even want to get out of bed.
Once I get in the swing of things, I am able to stick to a diet program. My biggest issue right now is getting in the necessary exercise I need. I have a desk job so any exercise I get I have to do in my free time. I bought an exercise bike, running shoes, hand weights and workout DVD's to get me motivated. The problem is that I can't get the motivation due to severe lower back pain and knee pain when I do anything for more than 10 minutes. I know this is because I am so overweight to the point where it's ruining my body.
I have not gotten WLS as of yet but I am beginning my journey for the VSG. I am 5'8", 315 lbs and my BMI is 47.9. I would like to be in the 160-180 range and a size 10/12. Please give me any advice and words of encouragement.
