Hey I just wanted to let you know that I had a bowel obstruction repair and hernia repair(same location) at the same time as my Lap RNY. I had no pain from the RNY but had severe pain from the other two. I could not stand up straight for almost 2 and 1/2 weeks and sould not sit in a chair that didn't recline for almost 3. The discomfort and pain does go away but it takes time. I am 4 months post op and the discomfort went away at around 9 weeks post op. I noticed that the cold weather really affected the site and just recently did that go away. I hope this helps you.

Hi Erin!! Oh yes we do care!! I hope the depression you are experiencing is very short lived!! I'm so sorry you hardly get to see your little girl! Is there any way you can forgo the 3rd job??? Burning the candle at both ends comes at a high cost!!! Please visit us at GB-IC!!! We miss you, Honey!! Your weight loss has been absolutely wonderful, but even that cannot solve all our problems nor bring us complete happiness!! One little piece of advice....... depression is anger turned inward!! I hope you can work thru this time and feel much better soon!! My prayers are with you, little one!! God Bless!!! Love,

Erin, hi I am new to this support group and I am waitng to have my surgery. It sounds like you are doing great. And don't worry about the people who did not notice you before. They are not what is important in your life. I know how you feel though as I just said almost the same thing in my profile. hehe.. Knowing me, when I have my surgery and the pounds start to melt off (omg how i can't wait) I will say something to those who did not notice me before .. Congrats on your wonderful success and keep on keeping on...

<b>ANGEL UPDATE ON ERIN RING:</b> I am pleased to report that I have heard from Erin via email and that she is doing great! She shared the following:<br><br>"I was finally released from the hospital yesterday, spent the night at my mother's house, and am finally home today. I am anxious to sleep in my own bed. I want to thank you soooo much for being my angel. It was a big help to know that other's were thinking of me. Thank you again. I am feeling good. Still a little sore, and taking pain meds, but I am sleeping halfway through the night, and seem to be doing well. I am able to get in at least 2 CIB's and 40 ounces of water a day. I never thought I would hate to eat, but I do now!! hehehe"<br><br>Erin has done fabulously, and I am so happy that she is home and ready to learn about the other side! Best wishes to you, Erin!

I have been out of town for three days, but have emailed Erin for an update. I'm pretty sure she should be home by now from her 10/31 surgery. I will update when I hear from her!

<b>ANGEL UPDATE ON ERIN RING:</b> I just hung up from speaking to Erin. She sounds so great!! 100% better than yesterday. She reports she is still sore and uncomfortable, but that the pain is tolerable.<br><br>She got her bath, has been up walking several times, and sat in her chair for over an hour! Great job, Erin!<br><br><b>KELLY McKAY:</b> Please email me privately. Erin would like for you to have the direct number to her room so she can share her experience with you. Isn't that selfless?! Erin is only two day post-op and still wants to help others!.<br><br>She is on water only until Saturday, then she'll begin a full liquid diet. I'm sure she's looking forward to that broth!<br><br>I am so glad to hear how much difference 24 hours has made for Erin. She sounds so much better today, and I am truly proud to give such a great report!

Congrats on getting to the other side. I, too have a "date" with Dr. Forse in December. Best wishes for a speedy recovery. I'm sure you'll be dancing "light[er] on your feet" at the holidays.
