Another 6 month visit

Aug 05, 2014

I went to Dr. Steinberg a couple weeks ago and I'm gaining weight so he had me do an upper GI to make sure I didn't have an fissures (little stomach growing back to my big stomach).  Today I went in for the results and all looked great with my upper GI.  My vitamin D is low again (lower than other times) so I'm on high doses of Vitamin D weekly.  We talked about possible duedendum (Sp?) switch, but he really does not recommend that and would be worried I'd have too much protein deficiency.  He explained again that Morbid Obesity is a 'disease' and he can't explain why I'm gaining too much weight back and the person in the next room is losing too much weight....it's a disease.  He's not doing many bands anymore as he takes more out than he puts in.  Interesting!!!  He now has a liquid vitamin mix that is made at the Walgreen's in the hospital (compounding) that gets all our daily vitamins needed in so I got that and had it flavored strawberry, but it's still very vitamin spelling/tasting.  At least I'll get my vitamins in again.  My weight is only at a 41 pound loss now. I'm back up to 249 lbs. :( and only 25% weight loss today.:( He did give me a weight loss pill (phenergren (sp?) - not the naseua stuff and topamax (I've had before for migranes)).
