"North General is not the worse hosptial, but can improve on things. I think it's main problem is being too overcrowded and understaffed, at least as far as their clinics are concerened. Better communication and profesionalism should also be practiced by much of their staff. However, there are also some excellent people there as well. While most nurses can use further training, many are excellent and courteous. If I had to do it over, I would not choose this hospital, mainly due to post-op clincial care. It pains me to say this, 'cause there really are excellent people there, but I have to be honest. However, I would not change who I had as a surgeon."
"My first impression of Doctor Beaton was that he was freindly and approachable. He listened, explained, and was willing to answer any questions. I am now post-op, and my impression has not changed. He has always been willing to be available by phone for any questions or concerns. He always makes sure to personally return any calls he may miss, no matter how minor the concern may be. He came to see me a couple of times when I was hospitalized, and he is on top of making sure he has me scheduled to see him for follow-ups. There has been no serious complications to date, and my scar is healing very well. Overall, I think he is an excellent surgeon, and I would certainly recommend him."
