FRUSTRATION AAAAAHHHH!!!!!!

May 19, 2010

It is now May 19, almost exactly 5 months after my RNY, and I feel that I'm not going to lose any more!  I flucuate in the 170's, and can't seem to get lower, seems I'm done losing weight, or at least it feels like it.

On surgery day I was 206, so 5 months later, this SUCKS!!!!!!!  I feel like such  loser (no pun)  :(

Is this all I'm going to lose?  I feel that my body shouldn't be stuck here forever, it's so disheartening.

Anybody else have this issue? I'm bummed.

First month follow-up

Jan 20, 2010

I went to the doctor yesterday and was actually at 5 weeks, 11 pounds down, 33 inches, and from size 20W to a snug 14 in my jeans, so I guess I can't really complain about the scales, even though it felt like more than 11 pounds, as long as I'm losing somewhere (inches and sizes) then I'm going to focus on keeping healthy and hopefully I will soon start dropping pounds!

Frustration

Jan 08, 2010

I am just a couple days shy of 4 weeks post op and have yet to see the 10 pound mark on the scales.  I guess people told me I would lose slower because I started out at a lower weight, but I would love to see those scales move!  I'm doing everything by the book as far as proteins, foods, and liquids..........grrrrrrrrr.

I did measure though, and have lost a grand total now of 33 inches.  I wonder how many more inches will come off before those scales move though, it can't just be all about inches forever!  lol, That wouldn't make much sense to be 198 at a size 8 or 10, lol  That's just crazy!

2 weeks post-op

Dec 29, 2009

I know I always wonder first thing, how much have others lost!  So first off, after the initial 16 pounds I gained during surgery (he said it was the water from the surgery and that's normal)  so after that 16 pounds left again, I've lost 6 more.

I think I was hoping for it to be a little more at 2 weeks out, but I'm still happy with any loss!  I feel normal again, all that gas is gone finally!  I am getting around great and can now lift more than 10 pounds ha.

Food is proving to be my biggest challenge as half the time it agrees with me and the other half, it doesn't.  So I'm still learning how to eat properly, slowly, chewing, etc.

As far as liquids go, I can drink drink drink like normal, it's awesome!  I definitely get all my fluids in so that's a big plus I think!  I hope everyone else is doing terrific too!   I'll try to update fairly often, but it's been a whirlwind since my surgery with christmas and everything!

5:30-5:45am---1 oz protein
5:45-6:30-------Breathing machine, (some phlegm coming up), Lots of painful bloating, walking, "gurgling" in my new pouch
6:30-7:30 am---Protein 1 oz, gas-x strips, walked for 10 minutes
7:30-8:00-------Had Calcium Chew 1 of 4 for today, 2 oz of water
8:00-9:30am--Slept

Surgery Yesterday!

Dec 15, 2009

I was very surprised at how well mine went, I guess I expected torturous pain and stuff, but it's really just the gas from blowing up my belly!  He let me go ahead and come home this afternoon because I wasn't getting any rest, all I felt good doing was walking, so I'm home now and think I will get some sleep at last!

I hope everyone is doing great, and thank you for all the thoughts and prayers, they sure worked!!!

Anyone found a way to get rid of this gas faster?  I've got the gas-x strips and have been walking a lot, but wow this is a LOT of bloating/gas!!!

Dec 09, 2009

For everyone that sees all my new pics that were just put up, some have expressed concern, but no need, I never drink alcohol!  I drink water every time we go out and am always the driver!  lol, I am just very outgoing and love to have fun.  I can have fun anytime, anywhere!

I love to sing and dance, so I go with the crowd and do just that!  But I love you for your concern
