I had surgery 7 years ago now.
My weight is stays around 101 (a healthier 101 than after my last post when I had my colectomy).
If I had to do it all again I would in a heartbeat. The only real health issue that has plagued me is the reflux. I have a pretty good handle on it with medication and diet, but it flares up once in a while and it is annoying.
My 15 year old cousin has been battling morbid obesity since she was little and now after speaking with me (not knowing I had lap band surgery) she is wanting to proceed with lap band surgery herself. I am excited at the possibility of it being a life-changing thing for her. 2 other family members have undergone bariatric surgery and have also been very successful.
