Hi Robyne -- "Frothing" - That's an interesting term that I've not found in books on bariatric surgery, but I think I occasionally experience that. I think it's an aspect of "dumping". I bring up a very white, tasteless froth that is not necessarily asociated with milk or any other dairy product. Nothing else comes up, just the froth, and it's very viscous/sticky. It's usually only a small amount and, often, none of the chewed up food I've eaten in conjunction with the episode comes up with the froth. I feel immediately better afterward. Sometimes I up-chuck the froth twice in a row, say ten minutes apart, before feeling totally comfortable again. Note: my surgery is Roux-en-y. I experienced no frothing or dumbing until my first six weeks of liquid/pureed food only was over. I can never predict when it will happen but I tend to eat less and chew more because of it; I hate that "frothy feeling". Good luck -- skinnyDawn
