Here is how the day went: 7:15 am Checked in 7:35 am Height & weight taken 7:50 am Blood pressure / temp & pulse taken 8 am Peggy the nurse got her IV started and was able to do it first try...Moh was so happy about that 8:10 am She was all set to go 9:04 am she was taken to the pre operative holding area she was excited and very happy amazing spirits 12:55 pm Dr. Gonzolvo came in and told us she did GREAT, she was in recover and already chatting wide awake and very happy. He told us the surgery went from 10:30 am - 12 Noon We went in and saw her in recovery 3:30 she was placed in ICU (standard procedure for the first 24 hours after this type of surgery) We left at 5:15 as she was very sleepy. She will be out of bed and walking this evening as well as sitting in a chair. Tomorrow they will do the swallow test (again standard procedure) and then she will start on phase 1 of her new life getting clear, sugar free liquids. She did great and I will write again tomorrow. Good Mornin' my friend, Wow can you believe the big day is really here? I was think about when we met and became friends about 14 years ago. Hard to believe that we are sharing such life altering experiences together. I remember when I decided to have my surgery you were one of the very few that I told about it before having it. I also remember although you were a bit aprehensive you gave me hugs and support and that always meant a lot to me. You cheered me on in my successes and even kept sugar free pops in your fridge for me so if my pouch got a little testy I could calm it down. A thoughtful and VERY appreciated sign of care, concern and friendship. I will be with you through it all. Love ya, your angel MJ

Moh, I am so happy for you! I have to admit, watching you go through this process made me relive my own WLS and has reminded me of how very grateful I am for being able to have this new life. I will be at your side for every moment of this experience and am always here for you. But, you know that :> I pray for a safe and uneventful surgery and a speedy recovery. I will post here after your surgery so others will know how GREAT you are doing! Keep your eye on your target and you will achieve greater health, painless joints and and a more active life. Think of all the fun we will have shopping for all the cute, chick clothes LOL. Love from your friend and angel, MJ
