I am a 26 year old mother of 2 boys. I am married to an enlisted Soldier in the Army.I am a pretty happy person for the most part. I have not been overweight my whole life, only for the past 5 years...pregnancy did it for me, I gained 100 lbs and it is still there. I was about 140 when I got pregnant and was active duty myself in the Army. I got out of the military when I was about 4 months pregnant and that's when it got bad. Not only was I eating more, but nobody was there to make me work out everymorning like the Army did, and in high school, there was always a coach there pushing me. For the first time in my life, it was up to me to work out. Needless to say, I didn't. Over the next few years I tried Weight Watchers, The Zone diet, hollywood diet, Atkins, Body for Life, you name it. I am not going to say they didn't work because most diets DO work for most people. It's sticking to them that is the problem. I would always lose about 15-30 lbs pretty easily, then I would have a "cheat" day to reward myself for it. The cheat day always turned into a cheat month, or year. Here I am today, around 240 5'3" and size 20-22 jeans. I have an appointment on th 19th of Oct with Dr Wilcox to see if he thinks I should get the surgery. I don't see why he would say no. I am over 100 lbs overweight, BMI over 40 and have high BP and joint problems. I will keep ya posted as to what he says then. I know there are a butt load of tests I have to do before the surgery, I just hope he can give me a date before I get them all done. Reason being, my husband is going back to Iraq in Jan for 8 months to a year and I will need him here for recovery (we just had a baby 4 months ago). Anyway...that's all so far. Can't wait till the 19th to find out more. Have a great day all. OXOXOX Kelly
