dealing w/ fear of surgery

Oct 24, 2008

I know that I need this surgery.  I have been diabetic for over 14 years.  I am losing my sight and dealing  with other complications.  I have been married for almost 18 years.  I have a wonderful and supportive husband.  We have 8 children 3 of them are our foster children that we are planning to adopt, 3 of them we adopted a few years ago and the other 2 are our biological children.  They are between the ages of 3 and 16.  I want to be alive to see my children grow up if I can help it , and when I say see I mean it literally.  Anyway like I said I know I need to have this surgery but I am so SCARED!  I already suffer from anxiety this is a mess.  I know that I must trust my Lord and I am trying to do just that.  I don't believe He has brought me this far to leave me on the operating table.  I told my family that I am really in a win-win situation when you look at it.  If the surgery goes well I will have a new beginning and a second chance at life praise the Lord!  If I should die during this procedure or anytime for that matter I know that the Word Of God says that to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord!  To God be the glory!  I have accepted Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior and I know that His Word is Truth I can and should rejoice in the fact that He is the resurrection and the Life and those who believe in Him even though we die like everyone else, We live in eternity with the Lord.  I don't plan on dying but it sure is wonderful to know that I am secure in Jesus.  I guess I just needed to do a little preaching to encourage myself (LOL).  Thank you for listening and I am praying for all grace and peace be multiplied unto you!
