so I thought I just had bad gas!!

 7-24-12  So I woke Tuesday night with what I thought was bad gas, I took some Gas X and tried to go back to sleep. No such luck! The pains were getting worse. I thought maybe I had a blockage and that scared me so I drove myself to the ER. Turns out that my appendix had ruptured and that I needed emergency surgery! My Dr who did my sleeve surgery four months ago also did my appendix surgery! Love him!  My stomach now looks like a pin cushion with three more additional incisions. 
Has anyone had their appendix out after WLS? My Dr said that it had nothing to do with my weight loss.
