Surgery date scheduled

Earlier today, Kathy of Dr. Syn's office called and asked me if I could have the surgery on Dec 7.  I need to save up the money to pay for the week in the hotel I will need for the first week after surgery.  (Dr. Syn's patients are generally released 23 to 24 hours after surgery on average and he wants them in the local area for the first week in case something goes wrong.)  Because of the issue with the hotel, I have scheduled for Dec 14.  I have to go to Lubbock (300+ miles away) on Dec 2nd for pre-surgical testing, admission and meeting with Dr. Syn.

I am wanting to get this over and done with, but part of me is very scared.
