My mom has been really sick but decided to fly-in to support me. I think it has added more stress than if I were here getting ready alone. I know that I will be so happy to see her tomorrow at the hospital but tonight the sistah is stressing me out!
Hey Friends,

My WLS call time is 9:45am. A girlfriend of mine is coming by to pick me and my mom up and carry us to VA Mason for the surgery. I am excited about tomorrow but I know that I am nervous. I have been trying to pack my bag for the last 3 hours and still feel like I am forgetting everything. I just can't focus and that is crazy!!!!!  

I also took care of my personal business tonight...the advance directives and medical power of attorney. A few years back, I saw my mom struggle with the loss of one of my uncles. He was estranged from his wife and she didn't want to take him off of life support. She never even came to the hospital to see him while my mom and I sat by his bed waiting for him to pass.  After that experience, I never want me mother to have to make any difficult decisions about my life or death.  So, I had a girlfried witness my signature on the formal docs and I am bringing them with me to the hospital.


Thanks to everyone for the well wishes and words of support. I am elated and ready for what the lord has in store for me.
