50 lbs gone for good!!!

Well, it took 2 plus weeks to lose 5 lbs. Thank God!!! I am just so excited. I am going to be late for work for taking time to share this but I need to celebrate with my OH family.I have never lost 20 lbs on a diet and now I am at an different point in this whole experience. In the 2 months since my surgery, my life already has had some drastic changes (some good and some bad).
- I met an "interesting" gentlemen who thinks I am cute as can be. Now, he has drama and may be looking for a green card but that's a story for another time. What's exciting is that he approached me and has continued to pursue ME!!!
- I love to dance. I went to a hip-hop class last year that was 80 minutes long. I thought I was going to die. Well, I went back 2 weeks ago and rocked it! I was tired but I didn't feel like my heart was coming out of my chest. Just amazing.
- I am wearing suits that I purchased 10 years ago that didn't fit by the time I came from the store. I paid good money for these really classic suits and then ate my way right out of them. Some are actually too big now.
- I feel better about Kenya. I look in the mirror and I am liking who I see. At my core, I am the same person but I feel lighter in more ways than 1. I am not paranoid about people looking at me in the gym. I am thinking, you better look at me because next time I will be even smaller.
The only challenging part is knowing that I still have 90lbs to lose. My doctor thinks that 150 will be a good weight for me. We will see. I want to see the sistah's height and weight chart before I endorse that final weight. I think 175 would be more my style.
For all the worry pre-surgery, pain post-surgery and confusion around what and what not to eat. I am happy with my decision. I am going to church this Sunday and praising my Lord for this blessing. I love everyone on this site. I have been motivated by your stories and touched by your support. We can do this together and I am recommiting to checking the site more often and offering myself as a blessing to others.
2009 is my best year ever!!
