It's been a year

Actually over a year.  I celebrated my bandiversary 4/24/08.  I can't believe all that has happened in the past year.  I have officially lost 85lbs since the date of surgery plus the 30 I lost prior to surgery.  I had all my bloodwork done last month and though I still need to work on lowering my cholesterol, everything else was great.  Best of all, the type 2 diabetes I was diagnosed with 5 months before my surgery is gone. 

I feel fantastic.  Excercise was the hardest thing for me to work into my routine and honestly I didn't do too much until about 8 months post surgery.  Now I take Jazzercise classes 3 x per week plus walk 3 miles on the days I don't have class.  I can feel my body changing because of the exercise and it's great. 

Since the weightloss I have a new confidence in almost everything I do.  I no longer feel judged because of my appearance.  People smile at me more and men are flirtier.  I started dating and now I am in a relationship with a great guy and having lots of fun.

Thanks to everyone here for the support they have given during the past year and prior as I was deciding if this was right for me.  I think it is the best $18,000 I have ever and will ever spend.
