So my Dr's office originally told me to call them back to remind them after the 1st of the year to re-submit my paperwork to my insurance since my approval was only good until the end of the year, and due to my work schedule i was unable to get my surgery done on my December 28th appointment.

So I called today to remind them to re-submit and she said she is just going to call my insurance company to see if they can just extend my date. She thinks it wont be a problem. FINGERS CROSSED!

I meet with the surgeon in less than 2 weeks and from there i will get my date =))))

so glad the holidays kept me busy and helped keep my mind off of the wait. Now i have some very special things coming up, and they are ALL in February!! My daughters 1st birthday is on the 3rd, my Disney trip is on the 6th and then my surgery sometime after!!

So onwards and upwards!!

I've been so down about rescheduling, but you know what?! Im not going to let myself spend one more minute thinking about it. Everything happens for a reason!! So time to move on.

I have me meeting with the surgeon and my gallbladder ultrasound scheduled on Jan 14th, and during this appt we will schedule my SURGERY!!!

i have my meeting with the NUT/dietician on Jan 15.

I have Disney World Feb 6-11th. And at some point in Feb, I will have my SLEEVE!! im so excited =)))

Meanwhile to keep busy, i have: My son's 11th birthday, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, serveral Christmas parties (which i can eat at) New Year's Eve, New Year's Day, my daughter's 1st birthday, my sister's gender U/s... oh and did i mention DISNEY WORLD?!?!?! (which i will be able to eat at, my last Harrah!!)

Well just like i thought, my work denied my request off for my Dec 28th surgery. This means that i had to cancel the surgery, and i will be rescheduling.

I am hoping and praying that my insurance doesn't find a way to deny me, their approval is only good until the 31st of this year. I do have a call-in to my RN to see if they will be able to just re-submit all of my tests after the 1st of the year, or if i will have ot re-do all of those as well.

I just cant wait until a get a DATE. Im tired of waffling, i want to know when i will be getting surgery. Im a planner, so it is extra frustrating to me.

Well on the bright side, I will be in Disney world having a BLAST in less that 2 months, YAYYY!!!

Oh and I wont be on a 10 day liquid diet during Christmas =))))

Ugh being in limbo sucks. I am still waiting to hear back from my job if they are going to approve me to take time off for my surgery on the 28th, i didnt give them the full 30 day notice they require to take more than 30 days off (i only gave them 25 days notice) So here i am all scheduled for surgery on the 28th, got all my appt's lined up for my NUT, and surgeon before the surgery, and i may need to reschedule everything. I just wish i had a solid date that i could work towards.

If i cant do the surgery now then it will have to be at the end of February. We are taking our boys to Disney World Feb. 6th-11th, I cant do the surgery in January, because i want to enjoy myself at Disney.

I cant do the surgery immediatly after returning because i need to do a 10 day liquid only diet, which i dont want to start while on vacation.

This means that Feb. 21st would be the absolute soonest if i cant do it now. So fine i will deal with that, i just need to know!! Also im a teeny tiny bit nervous because my approval is only good until Dec 31st, so i'd have to re-submit my paperwork. I feel pretty confident that i would still get the approval, though.

If i do have to do it in February, i will look at the bright side.. I'll be able to have me last "meals" while on vacation =)))

My paperwork was sent in on Monday and i got a call at 8:45am on WEDNESDAY with my approval, WOW!!! I started this journey on October 26th and my Surgeon has an opening on Dec 22nd for surgery, HOLY CRAP!!!! I dont want to do the surgery right before Xmas so i scheduled it for the 28th, and requested leave from my job, but most likely i wont get the leave approved because they require a 30 day notice for a leave more than 1 month. Also since im taking my kids to disneyworld on feb 6th, i probably wont do the surgery until after that. i wish i could do the surgery tomorrow! Oh and since i have to do a 10 day liquid diet, i wont schedule the surgery until at least 10 days after i return from vacation which pushes it out to Feb 21st =(
 

So im at work and i looked at my phone and noticed i had a missed call and a VM from my dr.'s office. She didnt say much just that she's the office coordinator and to call her back. She's the one that i've set all my appt's up with. I have been wating for insurance approval, so i wonder if they've gotten it? I've called her back like 10 times and she hasnt answered (i did only leave 1 message, hope she doesnt have caller ID!)

I will have to do a 10 day liquid only pre-op diet. HOW will i get through it?!? How will i have energy to work 45 hours a week, manage 15 employees, come home care for my 3 kids (including a very needy 9m old) How will i cook for my kids (hubby comes home to late to do it) How will i go 10 days without food? How is this possible? yes i know i will have to be on liquids only after surgery, but it will be easier with a smaller stomach. I get nauseated if i dont eat, i also get headaches. How can i be patient with my employees?? How can i then come home and have any patience left for my kids? Maybe i should consider taking my leave a little earlier? ugh..

Ignore this post, I am just going to update with reasons why i am doing this surgery. If i ever need a kick in the butt, i hope this will do the trick =D

• Dont lose circulation when sitting on the floor

• feel good in a swim suit
• wrap a towel all the way around me
• take an after picture
• no numbness in toes

• comfy in a plane seat

• Be able to reach all the dust bunnies

so i got the results of my psych eval, all good! My psychologist said shes going to type up her report and then they will send my referral to my insurance for approval. She even asked me how i'd feel about doing in around Christmas? I said that sounds good to me =)  Time to play the waiting game... She said it will take between 1-4 weeks for approval and then the surgeon will schedule it with me.

We'll see! Today i have my "final" task. I have an appt to go get my results of the psych test.  Supposedly thats the last thing my insurance requires, so hopefully my pre-approval will be ready to be sent after that! Also i forgot to say in my last blog post that all my labs came back great except i was a little low on Vitamin D, which i already started taking after my labs were drawn anyways.
