I am a 58 year old, mother of 7 kids. Three that I gave birth to and four that we adopted. My kids ages range from 6 to 33. I have taught school since '69. I have been overweight since I was in about the fourth grade. At present I amabout 360 I think. I have researched this WLS all year. I finally got appoved by the insurance and now have a date for July 12,2005. I am so ready to start this journey. School starts again for teachers around August 10, I hope that I am feeling a little better by then. I am tired of my legs hurting all the time and of my c-pap. Living for my children, getting healthier, and getting rid of my c-pap our my main motivating factors. July 6,2005 I have a final consult with my surgeon today. He asked that I bring my husband and all my children so that he might answer any unanswered questions they might have. Hopefully, he has a conference room ready to hold us all. Less than one week away. I almost have my classroom set up for the new school year. I plan to get it all finished before my surgery. Something tells me I may not quite feel up to it after the surgery for awhile. I usually bounce back pretty quick though. My pain tolerance level is pretty good so hopefully I will be able to tough it out without too much fuss. We shall see soon enough!
