I am 34 years old. I got married when I was 18 and then had 3 children. Tim is 14, Shelbie is 11, and Elayna is 6. My first husband and I divorced in 2003. A year later I met the man of my dreams. John has one son, Andrew who is 8 years old. He was a single dad and had taken care of his son mostly by himself since he was 6 months old. He and I are a perfect match, goofy and fun. We have so much in common and are very compatible. He is a wonderful stepfather. He is totally supportive of me.
We are involved in Pet Rescue. We foster dogs for DARE Dachshund Rescue, we currently have 2 fosters in addition to our own dogs, Tater and Isabella. Most of the dogs DARE takes in were strays or abandoned by their owners. There are SO many homeless animals in the world, and I know what we do is just a drop in the bucket, but I feel that every little bit counts. A saying I like is, "You may not change the world by saving just one animal, but you will change the world for THAT ONE ANIMAL." I could stay on this soapbox forever but I won't.........but please spay or neuter your pets, and don't buy from Pet Stores. And always try to rescue first! We love going to the beach, hiking, amusement parks, the springs, the lake, etc. My husband likes shopping, even at the mall! I'm telling you, he's awesome. LOL I really love to walk my dogs but it hurts my back SO badly. I really hope that changes post-weight loss.
I work at a hospital and will be having the surgery here also. I work 4 nights a week and I LOVE it. It frees up a lot of daytime for me to spend with the kids & hubby.
I love to read and talk to my friends on Myspace. I love going to the movies and finding fun stuff to do with the kids. I like to travel although I haven't done much yet. I hope to travel all over the place in future years. I want to experience life, not just sit back and let things happen TO me. I firmly believe that life is what you make it, and you have to choose to be happy. It's all about your attitude and how you treat others also plays a part. I try to live by, and teach my children, The Golden Rule. I believe you should live and let live, and not judge others.
