Home from hospital

Hi all, home for the hospital. Got home around 2 this afternoon. Took a 2 hour nap and am here sipping some water. Made some jello for later. Just waiting for the kids to come home. My husband was a super trooper with me at the hospital yesterday.
Arrived at 450 am, was ushered back to a room at 455. Went through an hour and a half or so of pre-workup stuff. Meeting all the Drs and nurses. Julie the anethesiologist (sp) is awesome! Was rolled back into the operating room at 645. Climbed onto the operating table myself. Julie and the nurses all said hi and how wonderful I'd do. (Loved that part) Julie game me something in m IV> And I work up around 830 in recovery. That was really freaky. I've never been under before. Bad, think, they didn't have a room ready for me, so I was stuck in recovery until after 2.
Was still awake and weird feeling but ok. Stood up for the first time around 4 with my dh helping me.
He sadly, had to go and take care of the kids, but one of the few friends, whom I've told, came and sat with me for 2 hours. I feel asleep on her visit.
I got up again around 10 to flick on the nightlight in the room.
To say, I got no rest wouldn't be correct, but the little rest I got, did wonders for me today. Nurses in every 2 hours or so. Surgical resident in at 430 (hello). They removed my catheter at 6 or so. I had my barium swallow at 7. That was nasty but very interesting. Walked the halls again at 10. Dr. Hausmann came in and gave me the thumbs up and ok to leave at 11. Lunch at 1130. DH came at noon, we were packed up and ready to go. Left the hospital at 120.
