2 Weeks Out From Surgery! Woot Woot

Happy 2 week anniversary to me! What a learning curve it's been :) 

Within 5 days of the actual procedure, I was at 100% physically. No issues walking for any length of time but have followed doctor's orders to stay away from the weights. I cannot tell you how much I miss going to the gym! I guess for me, my routine prior to surgery was 6 days of cardio to lose the weight needed to qualify for surgery. I've been doing so since Jan of this year and was down 76 pounds already! NOT going is SO not the norm anymore and miss the feeling of working out. 

Prior to surgery I was a total salt / carb kind of person. Right after surgery, I couldn't get enough sweet anything. Juices were my new best friend and it couldn't be cold enough....seriously. Now I am back on plan and have switched back to my drink of choice - EAS Carb Control Whey Protein shakes. Trying to remain hydrated with my new stomach is a full time job so these 100 calorie shakes kill a few birds at a time for me and I don't think they taste that bad. 

Learning what feeling full feels like now and the signs of dehydration is a full time job. It's all going to take time I realize and am SO excited for this new journey. 

These groups and sites like this one have been SO beneficial in connecting those dots for me. I am forever grateful.
