My Grandma's Braciole Recipe (Italian Meat Roll)

Nov 24, 2009

Ok the Italian meat role is known as a Braciole (Bra jall) . This is my Grandma'a recipe.

Flat think cuts of steak
Parmasian
garlic powder
genoa salami
parsley and or italian seasoning
Mustard
Marinara jarred or home made
salt and pepper
Olive oil
Garlic Powder
Toothpicks

You can either get an inexspensive cut and pound it out or get thin cut ribeye.

Lay out the steak
Put a pan on with olive oil in it bring it to med heat
In a sauce pan warm you marinara. Get it to a simmert.
season both sides with salt, and pepper. I don't use salt
put a thin layer of mustard on one side of each steak.
Sprinkle on italian seasoning and garlic powder
Put a layer of the Genoa Salami on the steak. (add as little or as much as you want.)
sprinkle on grated parmasean cheese.
Roll the whole steak. (Using a tooth pick to hold it together)
Brown on all sides of the Braciole in the fry pan.
When browned put all Braciole in the sauce to simmer.
After 20 mins or so you can serve or put away to eat later

My grandma Irene DiPasquali would be thrilled for you to try it!
