Why I love my DS- 9 months out
May 03, 2010
I haven't done an update in a while and today seems like a perfect time. My wedding anniversary was this past Friday. We were actually able to have all of the kids, and my father go away to various places for the weekend. We had the house to ourselves from Friday afternoon until Sunday afternoon. It was great! We went out to dinner on Friday night and decided that we needed to go and do something fun that we normally wouldn't do. So, on Saturday we got up early and went to Six Flags Great Adventure. I had gone 2 years ago and it was awful. I couldn't fit on the rides. I had to try every seat before waiting in the line, and then had to just sit and wait for my family to come back since I didn't fit. This time it was a BLAST! I fit everywhere. We waited in the first line and it was so hot and slow we couldn't stand it. Se we decided to get the flash pass (lets you skip the line). We went on every ride there! I can't even tell you how far we walked. And even at the end of the day I was still going strong, and breezing by people who were walking to slow for me. After we left the park we came home, showered, and went out to dinner. It was about 10 p.m. before we got to the restaurant. I NEVER would of been able to do a day like that last year. We had the best weekend ever! It was all about us. I can't tell you all how much I needed this. Hubby has spoiled me all weekend and has been so supportive through this whole process. (Pre-op and surgery, not to mention all the hormones post-op) He is not normally the most expressive man, but, he was this weekend. He showed me how proud he was. He was just as excited as I was that I could do all of the things we did this weekend. So, for the stats,
All of this running around this weekend, and all of this good food, I ended the weekend 4 lbs. lighter. From Friday morning, 177, to 173 Sunday.
My BMI has gone from a 58 to 31
I can move! More specifically, ways that make hubby very happy.
My ring size has gone from a 9 1/2 to a 6 1/2.
Pants from a tight 26 to comfy 12. Shirts, 3 or 4 X to Large.
It amazes me, almost every day, how much better I feel. I have so much more energy. I have a bounce in my step (literally).
I know I'm a couple of days early, but I have a busy week so I figured now would be better then never. Thanks for reading :)
