An update

Sorry it's been so long since I've updated. I've been very busy and life has taken a few twists and turns. I have not even visited OH in months.

First things first. I'm down 76 pounds in less then 5 months! I'm ashamed to admit that I have not exercised at all during this journey but I did get a YMCA membership a week ago.

I started working about a month ago. I work at an apartment complex, cleaning it. It's very physically demanding work. I come home very sore every day but it's a good sore. My first 2 weeks working there, I lost a pound a day!

I want to post some update pictures soon. I am only about half way to my goal so they would not be "after" pictures. I will try and post them this weekend. When I took my before pictures, I was in my underwear. Now i'm having second thoughts about posting pics of me in my underwear but I guess I will do it so you can see the real before.

On a personal level, my relationship with my husband is better then ever. He truly is my best friend. I knew that things could go either way after my surgery. We had grown a bit distant the last couple years before my surgery. I mean we got along fine but it felt like we were just roommates rather than husband and wife. We've both grown a lot in the last few months. Working to bring our relationship to another level. We are both very happy now.

I did experience some anxiety during my weight loss. I guess I felt somewhat exposed. I no longer had this shield of fat around me. Well not as big of a shield anyway. I used to suffer from anxiety attacks and panic attacks years ago but it had gotten better. Lately it had been rearing its ugly head again. My Dr started me on prozac which I liked well enough except one sexual side effect that I didn't really care for so I had her switch me to something different. Now I'm taking lexapro for about 3 weeks now. So far so good.

That is really about all I have to say right now. I'm feeling great! I have no regrets. Goodluck to everyone!
