Finding Beauty In All Creation

Mar 08, 2014

I had my 1st consultation with my surgeon on Jan 10th, approval granted on February 17th and surgery on March 3rd.  This has been an open door opportunity from God. I had struggled with weight issues all my life. But I felt like 2014 would be the time I would be able to start a new beginning for my entire life. This year I will turn half a century and I want to be able to enjoy the remaining days of my life traveling on pathways I was too afraid to venture on due to my weight. Please don't get me wrong, I have always enjoyed traveling, mostly by car, because it became too embarrassing to travel via airway, I was tired of being the star of someone's facebook or you tube video, as I struggled to get into a seat belt, because there were no more extensions available.  I believe that part of my life is now behind me.

My love for photography has enabled me the opportunity to find beauty in the simplest things. In the park: a group of elderly men sitting around a table in the middle of a warm spring day playing dominoes, a group of children playing basketball or running in the park, a couple sitting on the bench enjoying what appears to be a lover's conversation. Photography has become a stress relief in my life.
