Well today was the day and everything went perfect. The surgery took about 45 mins. and I had a little sickness afterwards but took care of that with med. I have only had to take pain med one time today but will more than likely take some tonite so that I can get a good nights rest. Very sore but other than that feeling pretty good. Dh has been taking very good care of me and helping me get around. Will keep you all updated on the progress

Got my lab work completed today....I am only 1 week away from surgery and getting anxious. I have been questioning what the heck am I doing, have I thought this all through and the answer is I am taking my life back and yes I have thought this through and prayed about this so much. I know that my life is going to change dramatically but I am doing this to be heatlhier for myself and my family. I am tired of not being able to play with my children without getting out of breathe after only a couple of minutes. I am tired of sitting on the sideline of life I am ready to jump in with both feet

Today I met with Dr. Smith. Wow what an amazing Dr. I chose him for many reasons and one of those was that he has the lap band himself....and has performed this surgery on some of his own staff. I am a good candidate for lap band and he says that I will do really well. 

I also met with the psychologist....I was somewhat nervous as I have never met with one and didn't know what to expect....everything went really good and she is one of Dr. Smith's patients as well. She answered so many of my questions and was able to talk to me as a psychologist and a patient. I am getting so excited about this journey I am going to be taking into a healthier lifestyle.

I had my first appt on Oct. 8 with my Nutritionist and preop. I received so much information that it was almost overwhelming....but so thankful that each person took their time to explain everything to me and answer all of my many questions
