5 months

Mar 12, 2011

I'm 5 months out, and I have lost 85 lbs.  That is great.  Might be too great.  I am getting lots of compliments and people are really starting to notice.  I think I am starting to sabotage myself, which is a behavior that I struggle with.  Not sure why (I'm sure a therapist could tell me after a bunch of $$$ sessions).  I am eating small amounts of bad things, thinking I can get away with it.

I still have trouble getting in the water and protein.

I did go to a support group last Thursday and one of the members did a great presentation about protein and she brought so many samples!  I really appreciated her effort on this.  I was able to find some protein that I like (UNJURY Chicken Soup flavor), so I am hopeful that I can get the recommended level of 80-90 grams per day.  There were a few very successful folks at the meeting and they shared their experiences, which is invaluable.  Top things - water, protein, supplements and exercise.  I need to do better with the exercise.  Last week I got in 3 workouts, but for example, I skipped today.  So, I will not get in my 3x weights this week.  I have no good excuse for not working out more.

I need to set another interim goal for myself.  It worked last time.  I do not think I can get to -100 lbs by my 6 months, but I would like to lose 10 more before my next appointment, which will be at the beginning of May (closer to 7 months out).
