revision?

Aug 22, 2009

so i went to my family dr today... i am back up to 297 and nothing i do seems to help. the only time i lose any weight (20lbs at the most) is if im starving myself. i mean literally. and then im grouchy, irritable, and miserable.  i wake up hungry, go to bed hungry and even wake up in the middle of the nite hungry. the most i ever lost from my gastric bypass was 100 lbs. then my mom passed away and it all stopped. im not trying to find excuses--just stating facts. but that has been 3 yrs ago. and still i cant lose anymore weight.
so anyways, my family dr wants me to go back to my surgeon and talk bout a revision. i have no clue what all this includes. besides getting my butt chewed again for not making goal. ughhh. but ill do it cause i want to get healthy and reach goal. i just hope something can be done.  i know i have always been able to eat more than i should have been able to. ever since i was bout 4 months out i guess. i dont know what to think bout that. i always thought it was me. never thought it could have been the surgery failing ya know.
wish me luck.

starting over

Apr 13, 2009

i just figured out this new site-- its very confusing for me. ive started losing alittle again. so hopefully i can keep it up. ive moved to kannapolis,nc now with my husband and kids. i think im gonna try to find another wls here and see if im the reason i never made it to goal or if it was my surgery. id like to know for sure. maybe there is something that can be done. idk. ive heard of a really good dr named dr.roc bauman so ill check him out. ill researched him on here and ive read he is very strict and down to the point so i expect to be fussed at for prolly overeating. but if thats the case, i deserve it.
well see.
im at 287 lbs and still about 100lbs over goal. ughhhh
ive managed to gain 10lbs back from what i had originally lost. could have been worse i guess.
talk to u more soon

well its been awhile again. daughter is doing better with her seizures. son had some fainting spells-- he is too dehydrated. so that was easy to fix. i was passing out too but mine was harder. i was severly anemic and needed a 2 bag transfusion and 8 weeks of iron iv treatments. plus i take 2 iron pills daily on top of my other vits and meds. that was a year ago in june and i still have to have my bloodwork done every month to check it. ive been pregnant and lost it :( and now i need a hysterectomy cause im having so many female issues. so if its not one thing its another.
my weight is holding the same. but im still down 100 lbs so im glad i can say that still. i just had back surgery in april (just now 3 months out) so when i get the ok from my surgeon im gonna start walking and exercising to start losing again--hopefully. i want to get closer to dr.gellars goal for me.
well, hope to talk to yall more often.
