Surgery Journey!

Nov 21, 2016

Well tomorrow i will be one week out from surgery. I am feeling great! Did not fill the strong narcotic prescription upon leaving the hospital I only took tylenol. I haven't had anything for pain since Saturday morning and I feel fine. I'm out walking everyday, following my suggested menu in my book and taking all my vitamins, prevacid and senekot. I am feeling grateful for this tool! So as of this morning I am 6.2 lbs down post surgery and 25.8 lbs down total. I can not only see the difference I can feel it as well. The best advice I can give anyone pre op is , follow the Dr.s instructions for the pre diet and follow what they tell you post op. I did it! I got this! Feeling blessed and excited for the new healthier me!

5 years is a long time...

Oct 03, 2016

Well here I am, pre-op is October 24 and surgery is November 15, 2016 at St. Joseph's Health Care Toronto. My surgeon is Dr. Sullivan and I am excited and nervous all at the same time. My journey started 5 years ago in New Brunswick and due to moving back to Ontario, moving cities and no family doctor, it has taken 5 years for my journey to finally come to pass. At my heaviest I weighed 330 lbs but currently I am 288 lbs. I am having RNY surgery and am so ready to start my new journey towards good health. I am looking forward to all the support and information my fellow members can give me and I promise to pay it forward always.
