Thursday is your day! Just remember you are on the journey of a lifetime. Try to enjoy every minute. It may sound weird now, but know that you are cared for and prayed for here, and all too soon this will be but a memory and you will be an inspiration to someone else. I am waiting for you on the losers' bench! ~ JudyAnne

Georgianne, welcome to OH. I think you will find a lot of wonderful support here. Good luck with your medical clearances. The road ahead may not always be a smooth one, but it will always an interesting journey. *smiles*--Trisha

Since this is my first update, I guess I should post what's happened up until today. Last week (Friday September 1) I had my consult with Dr. Neil Marymor. It was great! I really like how calming he is and I felt like he understood why I was there. I did not feel like a medical freak. Yesterday, Friday September 8th, I received word that my insurance company gave clearance to pay for the surgery! I was quite surprised because I have read and heard so many stories of the struggle with health insurance. So now I just need medical clearance. I don't think it is going to be that easy. I need .. sleep test, stress test, psych consult, a1c (diabetes) check. I am a bit worried about these tests.
