"I haven't met Dr. Valin as of yet. I did meet with his wife, Debbie who is also his assistant. She was very personable and gave me all of the facts and information I needed. I felt very comfortable with her and her office staff. She explained a surgery called Vertical Banded Gastroplasty (VBG) to me and said that I was a good canditate for that because I had no existing co-morbidities and I wouldn't have to come in to get the band adjusted like with the LapBand. So, prior to that visit, I had no knowledge of that surgery and she told me that Dr. Valin is the only Dr. in CT that performs it. He's done about 200 of them in the last year and a half and she said they have seen great success with it. rnrn10/23/07: rnDr. Valin was very nice and informative. He also has a sense of humor! When he came to visit me the day after surgery in the room, he said \"Before you leave, we are going to remove those testicles!\" How funny is that?! He meant those 2 drains that look like balls attached to tubes! I thought that was hilarious! Debbie is very nice and they are both so down-to-earth... very satisfied with my Dr. and his staff. So glad I chose him... "
