Alan H. Brader

"My first impression of Dr Brader was that he new his stuff. He gave a very informative seminar on RNY and Lap Band, after the seminar I met with Dr Brader and found him to be very personable, great bedside manner, very informative and very much a patient avocate, he is all for what is best for his patients. Dr Braders experience speaks for its self, he does 10 to 15 RNY weekly and that is all he does. To me experience was a very important part of picking a doctor, I wanted someone that had experience and knew what he was doing. rnThe Barix Clinic in Langhorne Pa is where I had my surgery and their follow care is for a life time, the dietician is only a phone call away. You meet many times before and after surgery to make sure you know what you are doing and how to do it (your diet that is). All your Pre Admission testing was handled right there in the Clinic and along with counciling from nursing, dietician & respiratory. There are support groups that meet there at the clinic every month. rnThe one other thing they did that was awsome was they got all the approvals from my insurance company, the only thing I had to do was ask my primary care for referrals.rnrnNow on a more negative note the only thing I would complain about is that for 2 days in the hospital I felt tormented, sleep deprived. not to mention you don't feel real great right after surgery. They give me pain medication when I asked, and a antiamedics which was for nausea and also make you tired and then made me get up out of bed, every 1 1/2 to 2 hours and walk, now I understand how important it is to get out of bed but all night long I felt I needed time to sleep so that I would get better. I am not kidding when I tell you I was sleep deprived when I got home. rnrnAll and All the whole experience was pretty good and I know I feel great now, 4 days post op. Thanks Dr Brader you were great... rnI can't believe Dr Brader is no longer with Barix Clinic. I saw him on 6/20/07 for my six week check up and they terminated his contract on 6/23/07. I thought Barix would be my clinic for the rest of my life. Needless to say they are not going to be, they state on their web site follow up on 3,6,9 months and 1 year now that is all changing. False advertisement if you ask me. DR BRADER WHERE DID YOU GO......................."

Barix Clinics

"I felt the hospital was very good at what they did I just was sleep deprived when I got home. Pain meds, antiamedics and making you get up every 2hours including through the night does not fly for me.. All and All I felt safe and secure and new they could handle anything."
