I am so terrible about writing here. I mostly lurk, update my weight and progress and read.I have to say that this month makes a year since I started this journey.....Well, I actually had my first meeting in August of last year, but July was the month I started my lifestyle change. I had surgery in Jan. of this year (2010) and have been pretty steadily on the weight decline since then.
I have so much energy and I am feeling awesome. I go back for my six month checkup this month as well. I started out weighing 381 lbs. I lost right at 50 pounds prior to surgery and another 108 since January.
Thanks to my family and the folks at South San Francisco Bariatric Dept. and particularly Dr. Alami who is a great surgeon, who happens to have a great sense of humor. I could not have done this without you all !
