I'm sorry to hear about your open incision. Trust me, you are not the only one. I had my staples removed on Feb 18, and my incision is still not fully healed. It does make you feel like a freak. I said I felt like Frankenstein. Mine is still open, but when it starts healing, it heals pretty quickly. Unfortunately, it takes it a while to get the healing process. But it will heal, just take good care of it, do as the dr says and it will all be fine. Good luck.

Hi Michelle! While the incision issue didn't arise with me, in the months I've been here, I've seen it happen to many. I'm so sorry you're having to deal with that extra inconvenience and worry (and it sounds painful! Hugs!). It will be so worth it, honey. I didn't think so the first two months postop, but now my life is like a dream. Everyday someone compliments me on my loss. Everyday I find new energy. Please know that it will get better and soon you'll be on top of the world. I send you all my best wishes and special hugs for your incision problem!!!

Hey girl, always remember "And this to shall pass." You are healing after surgery, it always takes time. Be patient, your human you have to heal. Just think about the rewards this surgery will bring to your life. I'm still waiting for my surgery. I consider you very lucky at this point.
