Kaiser said WLS is covered under my plan... WoOoHoOo! 

I have to get a referral from my PCP to get into the program... I have an appt with him tomorrow.  Then I have to go to an information meeting... then 2 visits with a nutrionist 5-6 weeks apart... another information meeting, then another 2 meetings with the nutrionist... then the "board" (probably full of skinny people) will decide if I can have the surgey.

I have decided that I want to have the Duodenal Switch.  I am not sure if Kaiser covers this... so I am already planning my appeals!  :-)

6/19/09 -

Went and saw my PCP today - they are putting in the referral for me to enter Kaiser's WLS program.  I hope I get approved!
They told me that I have to choose a hospital... I'm so confused!  I really want DS but GW does the VSG which is the first step in the DS... hmmm
