So Touched by Your Stories of Triumph Over Obesity!

Mar 07, 2014

This is just my second day on this site. I have been so touched by some of the stories of weigh loss I have read so far. I like many of you also have a happy ,successful journey to share. I am 3 and 1/2  years post RNY gastric bypass and have had no problems. I have exceeded my goal weight of 125 lbs. and am feeling great. I no longer take a long list of medications for things like high cholesterol, diabetes, high blood pressure, depression. I made the decision to have WLS after watching my mother suffer and die from complications of being morbidly obese for years. I knew I was headed down the same path. I had to take charge and finally do the only thing I felt had a chance of actually helping me loose the weight I needed to loose and keep it off. I chose RNY gastric bypass for 2 reasons. First of all , I felt after reading all the information I could find out there that I would loose the most weight with gastric bypass and also I considered the dreaded "dumping syndrome" an advantage in my case.  I needed a detourant to keep me from eating sweets. They were one of my weaknesses. I only wish I would have done it sooner. IYou can read so much more information about this journey at http://www.gastric-bypass-journey.com/
