5 Weeks Out!

May 10, 2011

First off I'd like to say that I have meet (in the verbal tense) some awesome people here on OH, who have been inspiring and encouraging. I've in joyed making new friends, you guys and gals are some beautiful people!

Today marks the begining of being 5 weeks out. My first meeting with my doctor was October 2009, then I weighed 580lbs, at that time he refused to do any kind of surgery on me due to my BMI being so high, he told me that for sure I would have to go to ICU, so he sent me home to loose 35lbs. I did just the opposite, I allowed some personal issues to grab hold of me, and turned to the poisons that had comfort me in the pass to comfort through my troubles, so I thought Food and Alcohol. I was down hard for a minute, then I begin to start loving me again, I decided that I was ready to take control of me again. I went back to my doctor, to weigh in again June 2010 I was weighing in at 609lbs when Robin ( my nurse) read off my weight I was like "Damn" that's more weight to loose before the doctor would even look my way for surgery.

Determined to do something, I was up late one night and saw and infomerical for the 6 Week Body Make Over, Yeah I bought it! It took almost a month to arrive. When I got it I made up my mind that after July 4th I was going to do it. I threw a huge cookout, I going out with a bang, because on Monday it was game time. I followed the process and the weight started coming off I was going to the doctor every other week to weight  and the numbers were falling, I lost about 80lbs and he finally submitted my paper work.

Some asked if you were loosing so well why get the VSG, The fact is I had hit that "Brick Wall" and couldn't get beyound a a certian and I needed that Help!

Pre-OP I weighed in @ 517 Today I'm happy to report I'm weighing in @ 445. God is Great!

What Does Weight Lost Mean To Me!

- It means a chance at life, a chance at living without limits.
- Being able to shop in a mall instead of, in a Mag, or a B&T store in the strip mall.
- It means being able to go places with out being in fear of wether or not I'll be able to fit.
- It mean being able to ride rides at the park, ride a horse, a bike, a motorcycle,  sky dive ect. (yeah a bit on the edge)
- it means taking my shirt off at the beach!
- It means being and living healthy and longer.

you get my point. Well that's all for now! You guys be blessed.
