My name is Heather, I am 24 years old born and raised in Michigan, I come from a huge southern family who mean the world to me and they are the best support system that I could ever have they support me in whatever I choose to do in life and they always believe in me even when I do not believe in myself. In Aug 08 I married my best friend and my soul mate Randy who is a SGT in the Army and stationed at Fort Bragg, North Carolina (and yes we have survived two 15 month deployments and I'm lucky to say he has been home 13 months from his last one HOOAH!) I'm a very lucky girl and I can't wait to have my weight loss surgery because I want to be healthy and enjoy life and have nothing to hold me back... if you want to know more about me then just ask....
In February 09 I started the whole process for weight loss surgery when I went to my PCM for appointment where I first brought up the ideal to her about the surgery and she told me that she could not tell me if I should or should not have the surgery but if I wanted to have the surgery and if I was a candidate for it (which I was) then she could refer me to the weight loss surgeon and so she put it in the system and told me to go upstairs to General Surgery and pick up my packet and so I did and that is when I started the whole process, I am very lucky to have a husband that is there every step with me, but he will not make my choices he just tells me he will support me in whatever I choose and if your ever in a class with us he is the husband that has 500 questions to ask because he wants to know everything he can about the surgery. I will finish my whole process in May after I finish my classes and then I should have my surgery date by then!
