I am so excited my surgery date is August 4th. I go for my pre-op exam on Wed. I originally wanted the lap band but changed my mind a few times and now i am definatly going with the RNY it was a hard decision to make and I believe i made the best decision.  my insurance is covering it 100% which is awsome. i recently found out that my thyroid is very low functioning and have been on synthroid for almost 2 months now at 125mcg but i have gained weight since my first posting. I had to quit smoking and I am still on the patch because I started back up since i last posted and now it seems really hard to completely stop I will smoke just a hit or two here and there off my brothers cigarette but thats all.
anyways i will try to keep my profile updated.

So I have chosen to go to Ypsilanti for surgery I went to the consultation and he said that i can get surgery but I need to quit smoking for 6 weeks prior to surgery and get a psych eval.

Last week I got me psych eval done and will pick up the letter next week and fax to the hospital.
I have been doing good on not smoking I am on the patch...but I have smoked here and there...oops
So I guess once my psych eval is in then i go to scheduleing YAY!

I am going to have BCBS on April 1st... YAY... Im so excited cuz i know they cover the surgery. I have lost alot of weight in the past usuing Addipex but i also got addicted and was way wacked out so I quit them and slowly but surely the weight came back now i am 80lbs heavier than I ever was.
I have been on this site for a couple days and love it. I posted about what place i should get my surgery done at Saginaw or hurley bariatric in Flint. I am thinking more about Flint cuz Saginaw only has one surgeon and he only works on Thursdays so he is booked.

I really hope that I get approved and can get the surgery I feel like my life depends on it . I have tryed everything and my mental well being isnt that great I obsess about how big I am constantly. I am a Christian and have prayed for whatever healing that needs to be done so I can stop with this eating disorder.  I think I have major men issues but I dont know.
I will keep posting. I go to my seminar on the 25th.
