Well I was the "fat kid" all through school. I don't remember ever really fitting in anywhere. I have low self esteem because of all the silly people that I was around. I am happily married though for five years. My husband is great and supports me 100% on my decision for lap band. I have issues on my being over weight that I get very insecure, which at times has caused us problems. I think that if I have this done it will give me the self esteem that I need to really be there for him and for my kids. I am sure that I share the same story with many other people. Sometimes when people make their comments they don't realize how much damage is done. I go to my first seminar on December 18, then I guess I'll go from there. Good luck to everyone else who is trying to have surgery.
