Growing up in Southern Oklahoma everything I ate was coverd in gravy! I grew up eating fried foods and have loved them ever since. I've always been the "Bigger Girl", the "More Mature Girl", the "Chubby Girl", and my personal favorite the "Big Boned Girl" and I'm really tired of it because now I'm just a FAT GIRL!
On the bright side, I have a wonderful family. I've been married to my hubby for 7 years and I have a 3 year old son and a 9 month old daughter. My main reason for the surgery is to be able to play with my kids and teach them good habits. The majority of my family is supportive of me getting the surgery and that means everything. (My father thinks that I just need to pray about being fat and my brother is scared that I'll never be able to eat "Real Food" again).
Like so many others I've tried losing weight all my life and I'm sick of the struggle. I've decided to have the Lap Band surgery because I feel like it's now or never to take control of my life!
