Hi everyone and welcome to my profile:
I started the WLS (RNY) journey in November 05 by attending a seminar closer to my home; unfortunately, I was diagnosed with breast cancer shortly after and had to postpone for a few months. In June 06, I was free to start the meetings and testings and I am now awaiting a date for lap-band surgery. After analysis of risks and results, I find this operation safer and more atttractive for me.
I am 64, a mother of 4 (44, 42, 39 and 38) and the lucky grand-mother of 4 (3 boys and a girl from 5 to 12).
Today is December 5, 2006. Well it's been such a long time that I had lap-band on November 6, almost 6 weeks ago already. I love the band but I definitely now need a fill which I will have Friday. So far, so good!! I did lose quite a bit post-op but now it has stopped.
