5 Weeks and a Stricture

Yep..it was confirmed today by an endoscopy....I had a stricture!!!  All of the horror stories that I have heard/read didn't hold true to the real experience.   I went in to the hospital at 9am...by 9:15 I was in a gown and had my IV started.  Doctor E came in and explained the procedure.  By 9:30 I was wheeled into the procedure room...Doc explained what some of the equipment was...as he was pushing "something" into my IV.  I woke up 30 mins later in recovery.  By 10:30 I was dressed and on my way out the door....with glossy photos of my stricture!!  No pain...no problems...no sore throat.  My stricture was 6mm and the Doc stretched it to 14mm.  He said the pouch had healed nicely and everything else looked good.  I get to try out the new pouch opening tomorrow!   It will be nice to eat something without .   Until then.....
