June 8, 2006-almost one month post surgery! Weigh is continuing to drop off! Steady as she goes as long as "she" goes! Can someone tell me when you try to eat raw things like lettuce, salad fix-ins? My pouch is still getting use to it's role in all of this. I tried soft rice last night; big mistake! Rid myself of the problem; never thought that I'd welcome vomiting! Burping seems to be a constant problem; does it get better along with gas? I am happy with the beginning of my new self; enjoy pulling the draw-strings tighter each day. thanks to all who have provided sources for a varity of eating items! Sure have been a help. Gloria

May 23, 2006: Hello everyone! I had my surgery on May 10 at 7:30 A.M. as scheduled. Had some bleeding problems from being on Plavix even though I'd stopped it in March. Took a bit but the bleeding was stopped in recovery room and under control by the time a room was found and I arrived in my room at 7:30 P.M I passed the Barium Swallow test on May 11, so "food" was on the way! I recieved a tray full of 4 oz containers filled with juice. So begins my jurney to good health and good weigh lost. Gloria

Hi everyone from Gloria I. Thanks so much for the supportive e-mails. Yes, I'm getting a bit nervous and maybe just a bit depressed! Seems that since I know the begining of my new self drawers closer, I have found myself EATING! I've 6 pounds to prove it! Have others had thei happen? I am going to go back on my ProteinRich shakes from Metabolic Medical Center to attempt to drop the 6 lbs. away. I started with MMC 2001, but just wasn't complient to lose the weight, BUT the shakes are there for me. Gloria
