Marc Zare

"Dr Zare was the best! Ben, in his office made everything easy peasy. I called, I talked to the doc on the phone the same day. I made an appointment for the informational seminar, was there a couple hours, saw the doc, got lots of info, and a pre-surgery weight loss goal, left with my optifast shakes. I wanted to have surgery at the end of April because I had several obligations, traveling and things in the month of April. I got a phone call mid- April from Ben, who told me everything was approved and how 'bout May 2? I saw the doc one more time the week before my surgery, and then it was upon me. Surgery itself, of course I don't remember but Dr Zare was in to see me bright and early the next morning and told me everything went great. Hospital stay wassn't so bad, and the doc came by again the next morning and disconnected me from everything and said I was good to go, as soon as I tried the things on my bariatric lunch tray. I was on my way home by noon. Never once did I have to deal with/ fight with my insurance, Ben handled it all and it was so fast! I hear a LOT of horror stories and it sounds totally strange to me, after having such a good, easy experience myself. Dr Zare is very quiet and soft spoken but where he lacks in gregariousness, he makes up in excellence in what he does. "

Good Samaritan Hospital

"I was here for my WLS and spent 2 nights. I felt that this hospital was top of the line. All the staff in 'pre-op' was friendly, knowledgeable and very careful about my privacy, making sure my butt wasn't hanging out, etc. I got there early, and I actually got into surgery early. I woke up and didn't even remember getting put under, they were that good. I was in quite a bit of pain, as is to be expected, but not for long. The nurse took care of that immediately. I was was very impressed with the nursing staff, everyone I came in contact with seemed pleasant, spoke english, always asked if there was anything I needed after they did what they came to do. I have to say there was one nurse, whom I can't even remember her name that came in pointing fingers and acting like she had some where more important to be. She was always took twice as long to answer a call, or respond to the alarm that my IV was running out. She was just NOT nice. And I have to mention Stephanie who was the best! She was on the night shift except she beamed like the sun. She was fun and friendly and would do everything she could to help you out, make you comfortable, or even laugh at your lousy attempts at making a joke. She was there my first night and I did not sleep at all, just walked and wandered the halls and at some point she had come by for something and I just burst out crying. Bizarre. I am not a cryer, so, as much as I was crying and telling her just ignore me, I don't know what the heck the problem is...she wouldn't leave me there balling. She was very caring and considerate and did not leave me crying like a baby in the middle of the night. Thanks Stephanie, you're an angel. "
