I'm one of those people that feels like they've been on a diet since day one! Well, OK, maybe not that bad but you know what I mean. I was only 6lbs. when born, but my Grandma loved to spoil me and helped change that. Not that I'm blaming anyone but me for my weight!  Looking back at childhood pictures I was a little bit over weight by the age of 6 or 7, really not bad, but not skinny,  when puberty hit at 10 things changed.  I inherited my fat genes from my Mom's side of the family, darn it!  On my Dad's side everyone is thin.  He did give me his love for sweets though, darn him!

I've been trying for two years to get approved to have a consult for GBS, Pacificare HMO just wouldn't let me have it.  My PCP tried and tried, they keep denying it saying I had to do this or that, and basically gave me the run around.  My PCP finally looked at me one day and said there is nothing more I can do to help you, you'll have to fight with them now. That made me mad, really made, I felt like he was giving up on me.

I filed a grievance with Pacificare, wrote a long letter telling them my history and what not, begging them for help.

A couple days later I was still in a down mood, and was having my hair done.  My hairdresser and I were talking and I started crying, I'm just so tired of being fat.  Turns out she has another client that working on having RNY done, and she called her and got the info for me.  The very next day I called The New Program, got set up to attend an info seminar and they sent me all kinds of info on their program.
