I'm 35 years old and I've had a weight problem ever since I can remember.  I was never extremely overweight but I've always carried extra pounds.  Over the years those pounds have added up.  I'm now pre-diabetic and suffer from PCOS.  Both my parents have diabetes and I just don't want to go down that route.  I've saved up my money, talked to my husband, and came to the conclusion that it is better to take preventative measures.  I've got 2 wonderfully heathly children, ages 7 and 13 and I want to make sure that I continue to be healthy to watch them grow.  I don't want to be a burden to them with health issues that could have been prevented.  SO there you go.  It's not much of a story, but you know where I'm coming from
