Institute for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery

"Great hosptial. The best part is I don't accept blood tranfussions for religious reasons. They have a whole bloodless care unit that worked with me to keep my surgeries blood free in the event I should have had blood loss. (Fortunitely I didn't have great blood loss anyway either time.) But it's good to know I would have been helped with alternate treatments if necessary. I had 2 abdominal surgies at Abington hospital. Any surgeries that are planned for the future I will go back there for them even though it's 1 hour drive. It's worth it."

"I didn't have my VSG surgery done by Dr. N but even though she is a newer doctor I hear good things about her at the support groups since I had my surgery done by one of her collegues at Abington Hospital. "

"I didn't have my VSG surgery done by Dr. G but I hear good things about him at the support groups since I had my surgery done by one of his collegues at Abington Hospital. "

"Had my surgery with Dr. Bonnani on Dec 17, 2012. I had the VSG. I lost 66 lbs since the surgery date and 88 lbs total including the preop diets. I'm happy with the results. Now I just got to keep off the weight but that's my job. About DR B. He is known to be a very safe doctor doesn't cut corners to do it the easy way. He handles his surgeries with TLC. I highly recommend him as one of the best in this area! From what I hear at the support groups the other doctors on his team are very good too. (DR G and DR N)"
